An awful lot has changed in terms of our thoughts on the environment since 2000 when we embarked on this project, in a good way.
Environmental responsibility barely even figured when we started and in those intervening years it’s risen, rightly, to the top of the agenda. The nice thing about Millennium Communities is that it was forward thinking and so anticipated a lot of the thinking, thankfully.
Millennium Communities oblige certain standards when it comes to being good to the planet. We’ve adopted those but we’re aiming to achieve much greater things.
Locally generated power, locally treated sewage, locally sourced drinking water are all firmly in our sights… and in our sites!
Here you’ll learn a little more about what we want to achieve, more slowly though, as, in the true spirit of pioneers, we’re learning as we go along…
