As New Islington grows there will be a number of job opportunities created for the area. The types and number of jobs available will vary. New Islington has ambitions to be sustainable, in a proper, meaningful way. For it to be sustainable it has to be much more than just buildings, it needs to be about the people who inhabit those buildings and the uses to which the buildings are put.
We want New Islington to have proper shops, a newsagent, a greengrocer, the best fish and chip shop in the world but we also want a bit of glamour, so alongside that we want a Michelin starred restaurant and a gastro pub. In time, all of these places will need people to work there.
