New Islington is situated just east of Manchester city centre and is part of the massive regeneration area that is known as New East Manchester. It’s only a ten minute walk to Piccadilly Station and modern sports facilities are on hand at the nearby Sportcity, built for the Commonwealth Games.
This is how the 30 acre that is New Islington looks at the moment. The park, new canal and health centre are all complete alongside the first residential developments of Islington Square and Guest Street. You can see that construction is in progress for Chips and Botanics.
